PADI Creates COVID-19 Dive Status Map
Latest diving accessibility and restrictions accessible online
With Covid-19 restrictions easing, divers can now access the latest information about diving accessibility and restrictions in a particular country with the click of a mouse. PADI has created an interactive world map utilizing the most up-to-date information from each PADI dive center.
To determine whether travel is allowed, click on any country to see what scuba diving restrictions apply. For an overview of the status of each dive center in that country, click the red button offering that option in the country information box. For a particular dive shop, click on the pin for that dive center on the map or select the dive shop from the input box above the map.
As the impact of the virus in each country fluctuates, the map utilizes geo-location technology to share accurate and relevant local dive opportunities directly with divers. To ensure accurate information, PADI is asking its global network of dive centers and resorts to input current data about their business and local dive availability, and regularly update this information.
